Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality food preparation.
- Support in training and supervising kitchen staff to maintain a productive and positive work environment.
- Monitor food inventory and place orders to ensure kitchen supplies and ingredients are stocked.
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health regulations to meet company and industry standards.
- Work with the Kitchen Manager to develop and improve menu items, recipes, and kitchen procedures.
- Ensure consistency in food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Assist in scheduling kitchen staff and managing labor costs effectively.
- Address kitchen staff concerns and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and equipment maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Support cost control initiatives, reducing waste and optimizing ingredient usage.
- Fill in for kitchen staff when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- 1 year of experience in a kitchen leadership role (Line Supervisor, Shift Lead, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficiency in kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- ServSafe certification (or equivalent) is required.
- Starting pay $21/hour
